War On The Saints:Tribulation or Wrath

 Rev 7:

13  Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?"

14  I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

The Book of Revelation is not a laundry list of "future" events. It is written in the 1st century to a church undergoing tribulation. It is encouragement to persecuted saints. Futurists make the mistake of defining tribulation/persecution as wrath. We are not children of wrath. (Eph2:2-3)
However, we do not escape the persecution and afflictions wrought by the enemies of God.

John 15:

18  "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.

19  If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

2Thess 1:

4  Therefore we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions that you are enduring.

5  This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering--

6  since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,

7  and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels

8  in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Rev 19:15  From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the wine-press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

His coming brings the end of all things, not an escape from trials.

Rev 3:10  Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

tereo = kept my word i.e. hold fast.
tereo = keep you from i.e. keep an eye on/hold you fast
It is a keeping within the hour coming upon the earth;not a taking out.

Rev 13:

5  And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.

6  It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven.

7  Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,

8  and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

9  If anyone has an ear, let him hear:

10  If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.The church has always endured tribulation and persecution.

Rev 6:

9  When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne.

10  They cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"

11  Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
