The Potter; The Clay: The End Of The Ages

Rev 16:
8  The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire.
9  They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
10  The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish
11  and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds……….

21  And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.

Romans 1:
18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.
19  For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
20  For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
21  For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22  Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
23  and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24  Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
25  because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Romans 9:
15  For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
16  So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy.
17  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
18  So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
19  You will say to me then, "Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?"
20  But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?"
21  Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?
22  What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,
23  in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—

Through the prophetic language of scripture, i.e.  symbolic metaphor, and allegory, the Lord reveals His truth.
God pours his wrath out upon vessels/men created for such. Consider that as God is raining down fire, darkness, hailstones, and inflicting sores and pain upon the wicked, they curse God and refuse to acknowledge Him, i.e. give Him the glory. What is revealed by this is that they know that it is God who is performing these things and instead of repenting and worshipping Him, which would seem to be the logical thing to do, they show the depths of their hardened condition and blaspheme the name of the Lord. They know that He has the power and is the one afflicting them and still they refuse to acknowledge Him as God. It boggles the mind.

Therefore ,in our attempts to gain biblical understanding regarding our blessed hope,(that is, His return to the earth, of which the saints, as well as all creation, will joyfully partake in); let us set aside the latest books, movies, news sources, “new revelation”, dispensationalism, futurism and all other such error, and go to His word alone. Selah!!

Romans 1:
28  And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
29  They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,
30  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
31  foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32  Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

2Thess 2:
11  Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false,
12  in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Proverbs 16:4  The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.

The revelation and understanding of so great a salvation, ( the election of sinners to sainthood) and His final (and only) return are inextricably intertwined, that is, they are not to be understood apart from each other.

Hebrews 9:
26b  ……….. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27  And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,
28  so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Selah Indeed!
