Holiness

1Peter 1:
14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,
15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
16 since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."

Heb 10:10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Heb 10:14 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

Holiness is often confused with "not sinning". Holiness,i.e. sanctification, is accomplished once for all by, in, and through, Christ. It is not a progressive work on our part.We are altogether separate,as He who has called us is altogether separate. He is perfect, and we are perfected once for all in Christ. Imputation is always the way. When the sanctified ones (saints) do sin they confess and walk in repentance. When the unregenerate nonbelievers sin, they hide.

John 3:1
8 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.
20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.
21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."

I confess and repent, because I walk in the light with Him.I believe in Him,in His name and in His finished work. How much more holiness do I need?
